Herbie Mann - Just Wailin' (1958)MP3 | 320kbps | Covers Scans | RS.com | 78mbGenre: Jazz / bop, crossover jazz This recording emphasizes (although does not stick exclusively to) the blues. The sextet has impressive players (flutist Herbie Mann, Charlie Rouse on tenor, guitarist Kenny Burrell, pianist Mal Waldron, bassist George Joyner and drummer Art Taylor) and the material (originals by Waldron, Burrell and Calvin Massey in addition to a brief "Jumpin' With Symphony Sid") is reasonably challenging but the musicians never really come together as a group. The straightahead jam session has its strong moments and, as long as one keeps their expectations low, the music will be enjoyable despite the lack of major sparks.

Lightnin' Hopkins - Lightnin' FLAC (image+cue+log+covers) | 235 Mb | RS Released: 1990 (Recorded: 1960) | Label: Prestige Bluesville/Original Blues Classics (OBCCD-532-2) | Genre: Blues | Ripper: garet jax "Recorded for Prestiges Bluesville subsidiary in 1960 and reissued on CD for Fantasys Original Blues Classics (OBC) series in 1990, Lightnin is among the rewarding acoustic dates Lightnin Hopkins delivered in the early 60s. The session has an informal, relaxed quality, and this approach serves a 48-year-old Hopkins impressively well on both originals like Thinkin Bout an Old Friend and the familiar Katie Mae and enjoyable interpretations of Sonny Terry Brownie McGhees Back to New Orleans and Arthur Big Boy Crudups Mean Old Frisco. Hopkins only accompaniment consists of bassist Leonard Gaskin and drummer Belton Evans, both of whom play in an understated fashion and do their part to make this intimate setting successful. From the remorseful Come Back Baby to more lighthea! rted, fun numbers like You Better Watch Yourself and Automobile Blues, Lightnin is a lot like being in a small club with Hopkins as he shares his experiences, insights and humor with you. - Alex Henderson (AMG)"

Joe maneri: angles of repose Elvin bishop - let it flow

Part: 1 : Joe maneri: angles of repose
Joe Maneri: Angles of Repose Avant garde | Time 71:11 | MP3 320k | Size 161 Mb Released 2004 | Label ECM 1862 | Front "The new impulses that the father-and-son team of Joe and Mat Maneri have brought to experimental jazz are increasingly acknowledged by their fellow musicians as amongst the most important developments in contemporary free playing. The Maneris' improvised chamber music, as radical as it is graceful, brings the yearning passions of jazz and blues together with lessons learned from Schoenberg, microtonalism, and a dozen world music traditions."
Part: 2 : Elvin bishop - let it flow
Elvin Bishop - Let It Flow (1974) Blues | MP3 256 KBPS | 82 MB Publisher: One Way "For his fourth album, Elvin Bishop organized a new backup group and switched to Capricorn Records. Capricorn was known as the standard bearer of the Southern rock movement—the Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, etc.—and Bishop was able to emphasize the country/blues aspects of his persona and his music in the move from Marin County, California, to Macon, Georgia. The guest artists included the Allmans' Dickey Betts, Marshall Tucker's Toy Caldwell, Charlie Daniels, and Sly Stone, and Bishop turned in one of his best sets of songs, including "Travelin' Shoes" (with its Allmans-like twin lead guitar work), which became his first charting single, just as the album was his first to make the Top 100 LPs."
